Why did the Greeks make a Trojan Horse?
In the Odyssey, the Greeks give a deceive the Troy’s with the Trojan Horse, at night they opened up the gates to let in an ambush to the unsuspecting Troys. This led to the downfall of the Troys.
My question is why did they make a Trojan Horse? They could have made a duck, a cow, a cat. So why a trojan horse? Was it just random? Or did the horse have some kind of meaning to them?
Horse’s are a sign of power. People sitting on horses seem more powerful than normal standing people, so using a trojan horse complemented the Troys because the Greek’s gift showed that the Troys had power.
